Connect WhatsApp to Your Practice

Click "Connect WhatsApp" in your dashboard
Log into your mycarrd dashboard and go to the WhatsApp tab. Click the green "Connect My Clinic WhatsApp" button, then click "Connect with Facebook" in the popup.

Log in with Facebook
A secure Facebook window will open. Sign in with your Facebook account (personal is fine — patients will never see your profile). Accept the permissions when prompted.

Add your clinic phone number
In the same popup, enter your clinic's phone number. Facebook will send an SMS code to verify it. Type in the code and you're done — your WhatsApp is connected!
That's it! Once connected, every new patient booking from your mycarrd website will automatically send a WhatsApp confirmation message from your clinic number. Patients can reply YES to confirm or CANCEL to cancel — all handled automatically.
Important: The phone number you use must be a dedicated clinic number that is not currently registered on the personal WhatsApp app. If your clinic number is on personal WhatsApp, you'll need to remove it from WhatsApp first (Settings → Account → Delete Account) before connecting it here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Facebook Developer account?
No. You only need a regular Facebook account. The technical setup is handled entirely by mycarrd behind the scenes.
Can I use my personal WhatsApp number?
No. The number you connect must be a separate clinic number that is not currently registered on the personal WhatsApp app. This is a Meta requirement for the WhatsApp Cloud API.
How long does setup take?
About 5 minutes. You'll click Connect, log in with Facebook, add your phone number, verify with an SMS code, and that's it.
Will patients see my personal Facebook profile?
No. Your Facebook account is only used for authentication. Patients will only see your clinic name and phone number on WhatsApp.
What messages does mycarrd send?
Booking confirmations (when a patient books), 48-hour appointment reminders, and optional Google Review requests after appointments. All from your clinic number.
Can I disconnect later?
Yes. Go to your dashboard → WhatsApp tab → click "Disconnect" at any time.
